CNC Mill Machinist - 4-5 axis $35.00 - $45.00 per hour (1st or 2nd shift)
Location: Burbank, CA
Minimum Qualifications: US Person per ITAR – US Citizen Experience machining with 4-5 axis CNC Mills (Mazak, Fadal, Toyoda) preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
Job Summary: The CNC Machinist produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies. Essential Functions:
Understand work orders, blueprints, manufacturing orders, and machining parameters
Validate material used
Maintain specifications; Troubleshoot, detect malfunctions and take appropriate actions; Know when to replace worn tools
Listen to machining operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and compensate for problems
Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, fixtures and knowledge of GDT standards
Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions taken thus far as well as any necessary further steps
Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
Qualifications:
Experience working with Mazak, Fadal, or Toyoda CNC machines
Understanding of CNC G Code
Understanding of basic Math, Geometry and Trigonometry
Hourly Ranges for CNC Machinist II and III. The level of the position will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities.
