Sr. Planner - Land Development Planning & Entitlement Department
Location: Inland Empire, CA
Salary: $85,000-$133,000 along with a lucrative bonus program, 9/80 schedule, hybrid work schedule (one day a week in the office in most cases), and culture of training and development
This role plays a crucial part in managing and executing complex planning projects, focused on advanced planning documents—General Plan, General Plan Amendments, Housing Elements, Community Plans, and Specific Plan to build our project portfolio and develop advance planning team.
Responsibilities
Prepare and manage complex planning documents.
Project management including project scheduling, communication, deliverables, and financial success
Perform assignments designed to develop professional working knowledge
Expertise and application of standard current planning techniques, procedures, and criteria
Train and develop planning staff
Lead community engagement effort
Assist in preparation RFPs.
Desire to obtain AICP Certifications and/or other similar certifications
Requirements
Experience in preparation, management and presentation of complex planning document
Working knowledge of public agency standards and guidelines
Interact with developers, public officials, and citizens to create advanced planning documents
Problem solving skills
Knowledge of planning techniques, procedures, and criteria
Demonstrate strong leadership skills
Excellent interpersonal, written, and public speaking skills
Honest, reliable, enthusiastic, team player
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in urban planning, land use design, public administration.
