Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 along with a lucrative bonus program, 9/80 schedule, hybrid work schedule (one day a week in the office in most cases), and culture of training and development
Excellent full-time opportunity to join this Traffic and Transportation Team! Will develop transportation solutions for many of the region’s cities and counties. With the resources and support of a mid-size firm specializing in nine engineering services, the local Riverside team contributes to a forward thinking environment for an individual to experience all aspects of the transportation planning and engineering consulting profession including marketing, direct client interaction, and project management opportunities.
Responsibilities
Serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway projects.
Completes assigned work independent and as a team within the schedule and number of hours provided.
Responsible for preparation and/or modification of select portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
Develops project quantities and assist with the development of cost estimates.
Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.
Able to complete various tasks and duties including but not limited to research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects.
Prepare highway designs, including planning documents and PS&E
Coordinate with other design disciplines, including structures, hydraulics/drainage, stormwater, traffic, electrical, utilities, right of way, and environmental.
Coordinate workload throughout entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on schedule and within budget.
Requirements
1-3 years of experience
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program
E.I.T. Certification
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D
Knowledge and understanding of Caltrans Highway Design Manual and Standards, AASHTO Highway Design Guide, California MUTCD, Greenbook / APWA standards, and other related standards
